Just wanted to hop and share with you some spring inspiration in outfit form. This new blog post is coming at you in collaboration with a local favorite Portland boutique called Sloan. They are a small boutique company based throughout the city with a few scattered locations. And let me tell ya they have the cutest things!

A few weeks back if you've been following on my stories and Instagram you might remember seeing something about this. I went to the Sloan boutique closest to me on Mississippi Street in North Portland where I went shopping. The sweet sales staff helped me style this look to perfection dressed head to toe in some fresh spring pieces. I choose this fantastic mustard yellow dress in size Medium because it fit me to perfection and paired it with the little cropped black pleather jacket in size Large (it ran small) and flattering suede mules from Free People. 

I took this outfit for a spin at one of my favorite local coffee shops Case Study on Alberta Street where I took these fun photos with my fellow blogger friend Paige from Tequila Stained Tees. I enjoy wearing bright colors most of the time because otherwise like most people in winter I'd be in a full head to toe black attire which is great but gets boring sometimes. Playing with color is one of my specialties and since I rep a lot of red, yellow and blue this outfit fit the bill. 

If you're looking to shop for a cute new spring outfit be sure to stop in one of their several stores located throughout the Pacific North West. As much as I love vintage and second-hand clothing sometimes you just need something new, so why better not support a local boutique rather than going online and buying a cheap dress that will fall apart after one wear? I'm not naming names here but I think you know which big box cooperate companies I'm referring to.
