Hi Loves!
Where do I even begin when it comes to this wonderful immersive art and light experience here in Paso Robles? I had never been to Paso Robles before, and I have to say that the drive was quite beautiful. My husband and I arrived right at sunset, and the colors in the sky were breathtaking. Instead of boring you with a lengthy description, I'll let the visuals speak for themselves, as the whole experience was simply stunning. There were four art exhibits to enjoy, accompanied by live jazz music when we first walked into the main entrance with our dog, Kiko, in tow. Before exploring the art, my husband and I decided to indulge in some local food and drinks that were kindly provided for us. We enjoyed a few delightful sandwiches from the main restaurant, “Mercado.” I ordered a bacon and cheeseburger with garlic fries (which, I must confess, disappeared too quickly to be photographed). My husband opted for the BBQ tri-tip sandwich. These delicious meals were complemented by a glass of local wine called Trouble Maker from Hope Family Wines, a winery that Sensorio has partnered with. I’m still dreaming about that wine!
After dinner, we took our drinks with us as we wandered through the first art experience, [“The Field of Lights”](https:// sensoriopasorobles.com/field- of-lights), which was our favorite feature of Sensorio. The winding walking path encourages visitors to take their time and soak in the vibrant rainbow lights as they explore the field of technicolor. At the end of one path, you are led into another that takes you through the next exhibit, [“The Light Towers”](https:// sensoriopasorobles.com/light- towers). This was also a unique experience unlike any other. You are greeted by enchanting ethnic music and thousands of recycled glass wine bottles arranged in an artful display of hues. It’s hard to put into words how magical this felt; you really just have to see it for yourself. Following the second exhibit, there were two more called [“Gone Fishing”](https:// sensoriopasorobles.com/gone- fishing) and [“Fireflies”](https:// sensoriopasorobles.com/ fireflies), which to me looked more like jellyfish. Both of these installations were unlike anything I had ever seen before. Lastly, the newest art exhibit, [“Dimensions”](https:// sensoriopasorobles.com/ dimensions), was absolutely spectacular! It felt like we had stepped into Burning Man or some kind of rave, with metal laser-cut shapes that were larger than life. This exhibit allowed for a hands-on experience where you could touch the structures and even move and spin some around, which was quite entertaining.

As you can probably guess, I really enjoyed this visit and can’t wait to return someday, especially since they’re currently building another new exhibit. I saw a sign that said it will be complete by February, so who knows, maybe my next visit will be sooner than I think! This would honestly make a fantastic holiday gift for a loved one, as experience-based gifts are the new gift cards, lol! I can’t think of anyone who wouldn’t want to see this exhibit, unless you have serious health concerns like epilepsy, in which case it might not be a good idea.
Thanks for reading this blog post and checking it out!
Happy Holidays, everyone!
Till next time,
XOXO Jordan
